As of today you can use a rich text signature in Gmail, meaning you can add links and images to it, as well as change the text’s format, font and color.
To change your signature in
href="http://gmail.com" target="_blank">Gmail, click on “Settings,” and scroll down to the “Signature” section. You’ll see a new signature editor which contains the same functions that are at your disposal when you compose an e-mail.
If you have more than one e-mail address associated with your Gmail account, you’ll be able to choose a different signature for each one using the drop-down menu (the menu doesn’t appear if you have only one e-mail address associated with your Gmail account).
I'm using Google Apps and I get the rich signature, maybe it's just rolling out slowly. As far as I can tell from previous feature releases, nobody ever gets anything at the same time.
Does anyone know how one might add social networking icons (with embedding link) the easy way? As in not manually adding and linking each icon to your profile.

If it's not working for you, check to see if you have the Labs Feature “Signature Tweaks” enabled. Signature Tweaks needs to be disabled in order to use the rich-text editor.

Ha! Just wrote a blog post about how not to use images in signatures. Oh well, rule still stands imo.

If you can't see the feature, change your language to English (US). To change the language setting, go to the general tab under settings.

It's working fine for me. Thank God, the feature arrived.
I've been using Canned Response to set the signature these days.

Ok good news, but FINALLY!
This should have been available/implemented years ago…Why were we still limited to non-rich text signatures? Were we living in the 2000's?

Do we know when it might be rolled out to Google Apps for Business customers? It's working on my personal Gmail, but not on our work Gmail accounts.
